Successful Visit from the IRON MAN Delegation in Oslo! 🏅

We were appriciated to host a delegation of 15 individuals from IRON MAN in Poland here in Oslo from September 19-21. The group, including former players, coaches, mentors, teachers, and sports professionals, gained a deep understanding of the Norwegian sports system and its strong foundation in volunteerism.

During their visit, they met with the FURIM Institute, visited local clubs like Sagene IF and KFUM, and had the chance to engage with the Norwegian Sports Confederation. A special highlight was the insightful presentation by Jon Gydeland and a visit to Oslo Idrettskrets, where the delegation learned about Oslo’s approach to supporting sports clubs.

This visit offered valuable perspectives on how senior volunteers contribute to sports communities. While Norway relies heavily on volunteers, Poland has a different structure. The exchange of ideas and experiences provided an opportunity to reflect on how seniors can continue to play an active role in sports through mentoring and leadership, benefiting both nations in different ways.
