Project Overview

Short description:

Innovative vocational education and training in Eastern Wielkopolska in the context of energy transition

Background:

The project ”Innovative vocational education and training in Eastern Wielkopolska in the context of energy transition” aims at preparing the territorial self-government units of the Eastern Wielkopolska Region (Poland) to face the challenges of changing economic structure as a result of the energy transformation, which requires, among others, adjusting the offer and infrastructure of VET to the needs of the changing labour market. A large percentage of students is perceived as unprepared for entry into the labour market in the context of VET qualifications (practical and soft skills) and development of career guidance.

It is necessary to develop inclusive education characterized by good quality training and lifelong learning in order to maintain and acquire skills allowing to fully participate in social life and effectively cope with changes in the labour market. The development of a quality culture in the education sector, including internal quality assurance systems, will be achieved by ensuring the quality of the developed assurance procedures to ensure the standards of the offered programmes and their outcomes and of the VET training aimed at meeting future demand for specific skills. High quality education and care of youth is fundamental for success in terms of both education, welfare, employability and social inclusion. This is especially important for youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. It is an effective investment

in VET education. Good vocational training will contribute to obtaining employment, higher earnings or better access to better education, thus improving the well-being of young people.

The project beneficiaries will be entrepreneurs and institutions in the field of education and economy interested in the development and implemention of the strategy (over 210 participants).
