Life Skills for Well-being, Inclusion and Self-Empowerment

LifeWise helps students aged 12 to 15 build the skills they need to handle everyday challenges, from managing stress and peer pressure to communicating clearly and making thoughtful decisions.

This Erasmus+ small-scale partnership in school education brings together schools, a life skills organisation and a digital education partner from Germany, Norway, Türkiye and Poland. It combines a 15-week life skills programme with digital learning, educational games, drama and real-life scenarios.

What students practise

• Stress management and emotional regulation: recognising emotions, building self-awareness and finding constructive ways to respond to pressure.

• Communication and empathy: listening, understanding other perspectives, resolving conflict and practising negotiation and refusal skills.

• Critical thinking and decision-making: weighing choices, solving problems and using digital technologies with care.

Who the project supports

The main participants are students aged 12 to 15 and the teachers, counsellors and educators who work with them. LifeWise gives particular attention to girls and students with fewer opportunities, including learners from migrant, refugee, low-income and rural backgrounds and those with special educational needs.

Schools, parents, youth organisations and local communities can also use the project approach to support young people's participation and well-being.

FURIM's role

FURIM Institutt leads the development of WiseGuide, the practitioner's e-handbook. We contribute expertise in life skills education and inclusion, support needs assessment and educational content development, and lead quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation. We also hosted the LifeWise Impact project meeting in Oslo on 9 October 2026 and contribute to dissemination and outreach in Norway.
